There's one of the oldest extant megalithic complexes in Georgia at the territory of the Tetri Tskaro region. It is Lodovani.
The complex is situated at a distance of a few kilometres from the Manglisi - Tsalka highway.



You need to go up and walk away from the highway a little.




Quite soon you can see a pile of stones.




When approach to the mountain, you can see single stones.
Some of them look like if they were laid manually.




At the last stage, you need to go up a stone river.




It's not always clear what the stone constructions are - whether they're work of human hands or a freak of nature.








But soon you can see evident traces of human architectural work.
















Here we found an entrance to the tunnel from which you can get to the underground part of the complex.




There are drywalls covered with large-tonnage slabs.
It is unclear how it was built three or four thousand years ago.




This room is almost cozy.




You can descend to the lower floors. There are many obstructions and it is very damp there.
The farhter we go, the lower the temperature gets.
Having passed a few more floors and a few more dozens of meters, we still have not reached the bottom.
We have to go back because the temperature is too low.




There is a thick layer of ground with different artifacts in the tunnel, especially in its remote parts.




On the surface, you can already distingush walls, arches and entrances to the tunnels easily.












Many tunnels rest against obstructions, but here we could again go quite far.

There is a stone with a hole at one of the entries.




I have seen such a stone already.
And also at the entry.
The purpose of these stones is incomprehensible.




We looked into this entry too.




A stage lower we get into a big hall.




And lower, we find some frozen water.








It is time to return.




We leave Lodovani by another route.




We pass by the lake Gokhnari.
